Installing on Android

Because the build comes straight from us instead of the Play Store, Android asks for one extra permission the first time. Here is the whole flow.

  1. 01Grab the APK

    Tap the download button on this page from your Android phone. Your browser will save trybal.apk to your Downloads folder — if it warns you the file type “can harm your device,” that's Android's standard notice for any app that doesn't come from the Play Store. Choose “Download anyway.”

  2. 02Allow installs from your browser

    Open the downloaded file. The first time, Android will say your browser “isn't allowed to install unknown apps.” Tap Settings on that prompt, flip on “Allow from this source,” then go back. This permission is per-app and you can switch it off again afterwards under Settings → Apps → Special access → Install unknown apps.

  3. 03Install and light the ember

    Tap Install on the confirmation screen. When it finishes, open TRYBAL, sign in with your email, pick your sports, and you're ready to sync your first episode.

Verify before you install: only download TRYBAL from this page. Updates arrive the same way — install the new APK over the old one and your data stays put.
